After more than a year of hemming and hawing, I finally cast on for a top-down gradient sweater using 7 colors of Silky Single from Periwinkle Sheep, a merino-silk base in fingering weight that has a captivating sheen. The pattern itself is adapted from Jennifer Beaumont’s lovely Pixelated Pullover, which is written for 3 colors in DK weight.
In addition to modifying the gauge for a lighter weight, I am also spacing out the fair isle panels for additional transitions between colorways. This color change chart show a comparison between the original pattern and my planned spacing.
More detailed notes will be added to my Ravelry project page as I go!
